Earrings of the Precious Minister
Common symbol in Tibetan, Indian, and Chinese art, and that of the other Buddhist countries. Square or lozenge shaped earrings are the symbol of the Precious Minister, (charged with providing council) one of the 7 precious possessions of the chakravartin, or “on for whom the wheel of dharma is turning”. Shakyamuni Buddha is referred to as a chakravartin.
